Hawaii Photo Poetry
Aloha! Inspired by the Honolulu Marathon. Enjoy!
Passion Pulse
Alive so sunny skies above
Blue in the air feels like love
Dead of winter curiously bright
Far away places fashion flight
Sweetly presents her opening charms
Parting shots then hearts aswarm
Enter then pass through nameless game
To center stage's ribbon of fame
Tenderly trod making rounds
Inside track smooth tropic grounds
Twists and turns the saga takes
Unwilling stars soon she makes
Through all this love hearts endure
A little match of big adventure
We mix it up have our fun
Passion pulses our little run

Aloha Poets,
Dark Columbia inspired in the "wee small hours of the morning."
Enjoy!
Dark Columbia
Dark Colombia deep in art
Misty mountain song of heart
Sensing dreams wildflower blue
Dark Colombia, I cry for you
Proudly slow thunder takes
Morning's fog from fuzzy lakes
Songs of love sketching clouds
Touting stories shredding shrouds
Steep and stark holding sway
Slowly smoothing shallow shade
Sincere hope soothing care
Dark Colombia take me there
Subtle streams filter down
Cluttered macho covers ground
Black rim sediment cafe' noir
Dark Columbia do your chore

My Heart Is Your Ocean
Aloha,
This poem was inspired by a puppy named "Sunny." Enjoy!
My Heart Is Your Ocean
When paws of love reach out to me
Can hard times be easy to see?
Down beach paths by sultry moon
Beams on water see Sunny soon
My heart is your ocean by night and by day
Cool waters run deep under life's fray
Simple words, "let's go got game come away
My heart is your ocean your field of play
Old sites of my life, sprawls of highway
Dangerous turns hazardous bay
Negotiate now thoughtful with care
My heart is your ocean come sail your flair
So many miles yet sweet life to roam
So many smiles then finally home
Soft bay into view love eyes perk aware
My heart is your ocean now forever you there

Ancient Hawaiian "City of Refuge"
Ancient "City of Refuge" Hawaii
Bloggers Unite For Refugees 11.10.08
Aloha,
This photo is the ancient Hawaiian "City of Refuge." Volcanic eruptions and war caused many ancient Hawaiians to be a "refugee." If they arrived here, they were safe from harm and capture by a war party. In today's "civilized" world the idea of being a refugee has not gone away. Family has become the modern day "city of refuge."

Poetry Haleakala Maui
Aloha Poets,
Photos from Haleakala Maui is the inspiration for today's poem. Enjoy!
One Last Stand
Hard as thunder linch pin thin
Life on the edge comes out within
Stand in the mud and find it telling
The steady rain so compelling
Some scream, some dance and prance
Steering clear the patch of romance
Using air with timbre sweet
Rabble rouse miss no beat
One last stand is the perfect thunder
Fast hands count a critical number
A statuary take for history's eyes
One last stand for these blue skies

Beautiful Rendition
Aloha Poets,
The photo above is from Hawaii's "Big Island" and inspires this poem. The photo has no blue sky because of volcanic fog or Vog emissions that day. Enjoy!
Beautiful Rendition
Landing your laugh no somber rite
A found path will still seek the night
Commingled remains to guide the light
As horsedrawn caissons take final flight
Waterfalls plunging at their mouth
Pleasure their play and leave no doubt
As futures and mainstream spread out
A worldwide extinction of old South
Beautiful rendition no sight gag
Dutiful positions fold no flag
Muted conditions golden no crag
Beautiful rendition in the bag
