Palm Fluff

Aloha Poets,
Palm fluff inspires today's poem. Enjoy!

Cautionary Canary

As furrow of life casts quaint winter's glow
Tall trees sway whose seeds trudge slow
Same as sesame in cold primal sap rises
Old master approaches in newcomer's disguises

Hanging in the balance brings forth its message
Old messenger riding mare's savvy new dressage
Dragged through mire flung into dust
Were where hugs of desire hung in disgust

Old master teaches of wild runs and routs
Bystanders fold arms at more wild ones in route
Take care to take heed of wilderness' vow
Seasons of arrow's now resistance to bow

Old reasons for port of call and citizenship
Fall prey and stay aboard water sport ship
Who beams us up now or waterspouts us out?
Amongst this need for speed and heavier clout

At the bottom of history what legends will read?
Did dead reckoning directions fuel oil's need?
Can old masters stay sway with the rising storm?
Or will they seek shelter of the softer and warm
