Dear Dearth

The short sighted in the long run gains the least

Peasant farmers grow for a global savings increase

Emerging market infrastructures in the dollar U.S.

Long term interest rates rising, whenever to crest?

Outpost's output as money enters a small bank

The trickle of money managers have to thank

To eat, or sell, what you grow is to consume

Global savings go under a big fat broom

The thrifty see money drift into a bank

Infrastructure city has farmers to thank

The sun shines as crops go their own way

Surges of investors manage ploy at play

Austerity finds its way back to the city

Farmers go amidst the dearth and pity

Brands emerge, the real America king?

Chastens of the past the old song to sing

Alcohol and air travel book their new job

Savings v investments still weave and bob

From 3% to 5%, do we go the long run?

Interest rates bang infrastructure's drum

Business boom shakes new helper's hand

Old savings at ready to strike up the land

Governments, investors, consumers, bank

All have farmers to bow to, give a thanks

World savings investment market emerge

Cost of world capital flies new scary bird

The rich increase in their savings account

As a company, household, a savings fount

Interest rates climb, global savings descend

Banks lend to governments around the bend

U.S. dollar was once that big savings on earth

New infrastructure now a dear savings dearth

In a Dusty Industry


It seeps across borders at currency's whim
Pointed global fingers of "not me it's him"
In prefrontals humans image to speculate
Global agreement extinctions, as of late


Competitive edges sneak out all along
Out of control whistles the jazzy song
Walled-off money for a transfer wait
Super industrialized national debate


Global power lies in nations of twenty
Quantitative easing gets fancy and plenty
Little guy below squeeze with no press briefing
Money across borders, investment banks sneezing


Apps are fun for individual knowledge at play
Capital controls hold foreign money at bay
Global growth rebalance a fantasy island
Investment banking awaits its next styling


Reception of money starts a regulation boost
Ups the central bank reserves for currency roost
Massive purchases target a foreign denomination
Push up the currency value of your chosen nation


Financial system of yours can whipsaw a market
So your export-led growth goes into your pocket
While domestic consumption doesn't give a hoot
For global domination, they use a financial boot


Sixteen nation euro zone just a sitting duck?
U.S treasury driving around in a big truck
History shows innovative diversity wins
Think tanks ideological tonic and gins


Ok now, let's put our game faces on
Finance ministers mark zones with a song
Investors borrow money where interest rates are low
Send it out to emerging markets to get two for the show


Overarching love reaches back at our unilateral ranch
Frameworks engineer for this new orderly dance
Double tax on investments of their little bonds
Central bank ready, currency markets dawn


Fast furious capital inflow creates a new bubble
Valuation for investor's imaginary speculation trouble
Currency in your hand buys denomination of foreign lands
Keep the valuation low, export money rises in your hands


Business as usual at home in our new congress campaign
Documentary runs hot, china views nobel prize's chain
Emerge market indonesia, south africa, thailand, brazil
Fear in competitive edges swallows a hard global pill
