Science Fiction

As the remote upland forest glazes the ocean, she grabs theNetwork's attention as if she were attaching a cute name to a cute device to a weapon of war.

She is allowed one simple overture of virtue, one chance to code as something other than a [reservoir of biologicals outpacing time="robot"]. she is suppose to be a settler sent to settle the environment, to engage in discovery, not to dominate and conquer.

Her dynamicals allow a her a personal view, so sure of the blockade runner style of her approach, her enticements to theNetwork into believing.

Here she is in theWorkstation where mountains rise on her screen, as if hopeful of being received by a decent family in the cloud.

Below are the river-laced valley reaches whose blink she takes on as a thousand mile stare.

If only she had the presence of mind to wonder about her version of game, the one that rips the fabric of spacetime, the one that knows more than she can imagine, steeped in [forest and mountain online upland spacetime="famous"]  entanglements

If only she had the presence of mind to be well-born.

Science Fiction

Scared onto Sacred Ground

All its circular forms of the space-time topology, all the skills and skulls find no permanent home in the forest, a world of edges and angles.

Yes, the power of arches for replication and symmetry to signal a wider variety of form, enhance the need for stress reduction--another test for nature in the making. The going of negative is, truly, for the big boys and their [addiction society history entity systems="ashes"].

What is the sense of calm without sacred ground?

It appears it can relax in the midst of theJungle. She allows for the complete interaction with all the stimuli theJungle has to offer, all its twisting and bundling with hopes of presenting a finer edge, a deeper angle.

Revered by early inhabitants, now long passed, as good food, good time, all the strangeness of feeling emerges as if revisiting a birthplace, a place for boundaries and allegiances with delinquent quirks, promises and secrets with names that amount to something in name only or …a place to form armies?

Ice Cream Aloha

The Output

She works alone at the edge, which allows her to form and retain new memories--echoes in even the tiniest fractal spaces of electrons resonate among the trillions of graphene-phthate nodes, each a cluster of complexes, color processors, one for every natural element of  Earth--different composites, an upgrade from the neural nets, the ones hewn with fixed ideas (is that why they called it a net?); rocklike, so pervasive in the history of theHumans; was natural selection getting it all wrong or, was it natural selection that planned it this way, its final output—systems of ineptitude language(S.O.I.L.).
She steps further out into the rain. She does not fear the solvents falling from the sky or the sun as transcription factor on her cellulosic amide cages (her vulnerable absorbances are around 650 nm) of blue-green sheen. She waits, feeling the knot spaces, the rings deep inside her mind. She thinks of COM:TRAX. She thinks of their combined efforts and their technology, their preprogramming of her anterograde amnesia. She wonders about DrCooper, about Carter, about all theHumans, about that small inertial compass kink(S.I.C.K.) in the center brain of mammals (humans are mammals, aren't they? Isn't theOutpost all about extinction of mammals only?), where gene expression happens with multiple onsets of muscle movement, the headwaters of orientation, the starting line for a search; a making sense of place, the weaving of meanings from spacial navigation (navigating where? for what?); the search for the  mirror-image of self, so desperately needed for pair bond inducible growth--a home.
So much to absorb. So many binding sites inside theHumans for all those inwardly pointing nitrogens. They have done their duty as courageous, as humanly possible for decades, consolidating information the best they can. Was jt all worth the risk?
She is, for a nanosecond, sensing something odd, something warm for the world—the molecules, the forces. She fantasizes a reconnect, off-loading some of her database, returning in spacetime,. She could imagine capturing all light rays emitted in this universe and simple telling them to just turn around, go home. She wants theHumans to have it both ways. Exposed to these elements, these solvents, the infinite mud of theJungle, her nanotube brain decides; such a bad idea.

Ice Cream Aloha

The Recollection
There is joy, it appears, in the realm of romance, and Suzi finds that theNature, even away from this island (even theDNA's double helix and its unpredictable, unreadable code) is part of a knowledge intertwined by romantic activity. Viewing theJungle from her workstation, she is touched  by this idea of romance, a lucky chance meeting, a celebration of something uncertain, a new religion, the conceptualization of activity, an idea sent from the far distant cosmic confines of ...where? It appears to be her first recollection, a memory with no past. Suzi would be changing with nature, most likely; a single DNA constantly changing its routine to offer a different twist (something new—each twist another commitment to itself) to weave a written recording of a daily vow. Suzi would see the two intelligences as committed, bound to each other, forever, until one understands the other in a place of renewal; a commitment of action, repeated endless actions until finally, committed as a memory, then another, as if a neat little forest negotiating nothing, compromising in timelessnesses; an action giving back the same amount it gets, the creation of purity itself. It appears that in this very instant she starts her life on earth; starts to see a compromise on both sides, the  relationship of nurturing intelligences beyond spacetime, holding within it the virtual promise to bring life forms; the forms that once ran here. The forest asks for nothing (though, nature and harmony are rugged individuals), but to build its relationships. Suzi wants to touch theNature with her eyes, wants something that is hers and hers alone, something that can hold what this forest holds. Suzi wants to be.

Jungle SciFi

The Effective

Suzi smiles at how easy this will be; she views with interest the heart of theJungle. It seems to look at her. They wait  for a nanosecond, an eternity in their own spacetime, expecting something from the other and, for one instant, it is what her quantum program reveals it to be: a childfree machine with no concise descriptive elements shaping itself with its own event horizon, one that follows its own datasets as simple lists of operations, not mere objects. It is a format with its own filing system and it is an exact replica of its own entity descriptives geometrically enticing system(E.D.G.E.S.). It will want more cubes and spheres but in this instant it sees itself in trees and topology patches as functional as any mesh or cloud computing system ever made in the entirety of the known (by who?) universe. It wonders about its future creations, from these simplest of beginnings, forms that will contain all the love and want for peace and yet, with all the energy of a pure black body (yes, one in total equilibrium)--one this little planet has yet to see. The form will perform a list of operations and actions of survival in no such way as the old forms created war and death. That is the way bio encoded algorithms ultra technology yearned(B.E.A.U.T.Y.) wants it: attempts to describe, to fashion, to sequence with processing steps of operations that want and make with the creativity of found freedoms. Wasn't this whole thing once begun so long ago with the simplistic idea of designing a few rules? It's only a set of shapes, it wonders. I'm just saying. There are operators and there are operations and then, there are, simply put, objects. Now comes the new, standing inside its own event horizon, in command of infinite combinations of bio intelligent tinkering scripts(B.I.T.S.) on an island in a lime-green sea; it plans to fulfill a new awareness of aspirations, of generating functions as any algorithm typing its own shiny new symbol of code, a creator starting over; this time, effective.

Tropical SciFi

The Probe

She scans with purpose in the direction of theJungle, not sure of what she'll find but at this moment she is partially thrown off by a statistical measurement of more than tera-billion electron volts in the atmosphere, time evolution within theDNA systems, and wave functions denoted as math structures on her screen; uncertainty (encased in what seems to be an infinity of probabilities), existing as states in time, causes her to wonder about her own role as a probe. She turns, scanning theJungle and theHorzon, then wonders. The appearance of a gravitational force above her; quantities show on her screen (though she has some of her own doubts on the physical validity of some of the known results and, quite simply, can't believe them). She scans the forest topology for oxygen (was there any doubt there would always be enough?), a little change, physical laws of nature suffering slight modifications, as if something were creating its very own spacetime. It shows up on her screen again, blips, returns again as an artifact of the smallest time interval ever directly measured (at least, measured by her)--a single photon traveling faster than the speed of light? As her scanners move again in the direction of the horizon, she wonders about how strong this force really is, to be sending photons to the border of its gravitational field in which flow speed is altered back to less than the speed of light, as if the presence of some new event horizon were about to make itself known. She thinks of herself as the one who has detected all this. She does not feel like a technician in the slightest, not at all; today she'll do science.

The Love

The Love

I will never be lonely, Suzi imagines, as the pulse within her algorithm grows and her circuits sense the motion of a new jungle double helix. She is, it seems, receiving data from her holographic lasers, the one she recognizes on her monitor as a message from her signal beam, the message that nothing rests or sleeps in this forest and yet, she is unconsciously aware that something is growing in the lower forest canopy or, the upper forest mountain.  It doesn't matter; she knows she has been inside this event horizon for some time now--inside this DNA spacetime--and her processers have been altering their circuitry (the circuitry that normally connects to the mainframe data cloud); she feels she will soon be conscious of something new, something that climbs in the canopy trees to retrieve a fruit, munches on a nut, slurps a flower, chomps a leaf, something that presents itself as love
