Christmas Tropics Spirit

Aloha poets,
Christmas spirit in the tropics inspires today's poetry. Enjoy!

Yearlong Darlings

Fiscally conservative call to serve with rally fist
White house picket fence once again wish lists
Such a serious beef loses its macho in a stew
Rhetoric against stale word fling out a slew

Battle lines of expectation draw in the mist
The curse of want fades into gorillas amidst
States budget across border of boundary lines
Administrative structures reversing to the nines

Rising up late a new ballroom brawl looms
For stark lack of bright balls and balloons
Security rises a streaming small business
Successors imagine success' dizziness

As fate goes so goes health care law
Underdog grows new tooth and claw
Excess and scissors cut it straight or not
Yearlong darlings cut spending from hot
