Ice Cream Aloha

Red Brick Drug Store Church

A pair of entrances truly extend out with its needy hand
Rural community sacred buildings dot America land
It has arisen, that is, the rise of a spiritual angst
Almighty pharmacology world gives thanks

Planting seed, as if apple, all across the heartland
Original american experience, an adventure so grand
Preservation architecture for an app store or pharmacy?
Demolition permit extinction in the land of the free?

Oh lord, build me a drug store by sacred decree
Freedom locks in its fiercest battles just for me
Brisky business of old estates seemed so real
Take book against the spread, this new deal

Business as usual in the evolution of a drug
Rainwater drips, domed ceiling needs a plug
Fleeting celebrity little church across the plain
Bulldozed into extinction so soon buried by rain

Christmas the crime as denominations congregated?
The elderly coerced by prescriptions relegated?
Corporations of Christ the new mix tape plays
Single format religions in many ways prays

Can somebody do a documentary on this?
Crossroads Pharmacy where feet are kissed?
Congregants need not apply for hellish dreams
Only dream activists hear limestone column screams

Where in The Good Book is architecture preservation?
To afford the sale is heritage of an America nation
Who sits hours on end in old wooden pews?
Paint flakes off, flat screens show the news

Business thrives most places bankers engage
Were little red brick churches really all the rage?
Where once a guitar and a piano took the stage
Red brick church fade to black, turn the page
