Palm Blue Ghosts

Aloha poets,
Can you see the blue ghosts of halloween season in this palm tree?
Inspires today's poem. Enjoy!

Death Dearth

Turns you into a potted plant that seeks protection
Burns embers to tip off operators of detection
Whirlybirds arrive early in vulture swoops
Surprise inspection out to get the scoops

Periodic unannounced is method of choice
Staves off getting trounced by regulator's voice
Incentives change on arrival of different set of needs
Preventative gains of survival, in theory no one bleeds

A wasted life comes and goes but then who cares?
Comedy sings change, children still play on stairs
Inspector shows up a structure semi permanent
Finds natural gas big oil spill on the firmament

To be vigilant as a government mandate enters
Security regulates behind sheen of terror centers
Safety exercises the new computer generated list
Surprise inspection, unannounced events get a gist

Crony drilling, gas exploration so succinct
Childless by choice, you thought earth blinked
Antipollution components become food for thought
Arrives from china or wherever as diversity we bought

National security slips back into the conversation
Death of surprise never occurs on entrepreneur nation
We still go out as a deep water operator avoiding congestion
Requests for additional notice the unnatural america suggestion

Heath prefers horror to issue its warning
Family somewhere hopes for sunny morning
Total shutdown of facility to you is never so funny
Fill out your own form, offer a gift, make more money

Drill the oil maintain jets expect a visitor
Federal safety regulator oversight inquisitor
Functions may fail on your watch at mother earth
Surprise inspection, slight correction invite death dearth
