Green Sugar Sandy

Aloha poets,
Green with sugar sandy beach is a great place to inspire
today's ecopoem. Enjoy!

Museum Beach

Archeology rules as science goes
Sets minds spinning, so history knows
Once a palace wall, this regal little beach
Now shown for all just out of reach

Final insights came clear when oil came ashore
Winged creature bull with man's head to abhor
Colossal stones fared weak with the surge
Shrimp, crab, and oyster a coastal purge

Information gleaned from that archaeologic site
Sensational green, now a brown bitter blight
Tar ball landfall, dolphin sharks met their match
Ghost coastal villages, not one hut to thatch

Gulf oil spill makes this site a good dig
Pieces of charred metal, pulverized oil rig
The fleet set sail for a new deep water lease
White sugar sand beach now a museum piece
