Hawaiian Wall Surfing

aloha poets,
Hawaiian wall surfing inspires today's poem. Enjoy!

That Jazzy Place

Cool cellars in shadowy thick
Bridge canal dark shaded brick
Innovation begins to cooperate
Amidst improvisation's misty gait

To be only in shadowy minds
Strength implicit simplicity finds
Repertoire anew needs no tryout
Just jazzy places where ideas fly out

Perception of self in serious verve
A casual spot to find the nerve
Mainstream may never smile its face
Your serious venue, your jazzy place

Hot new events heat far away
Sheer magnitudes shed and fray
Heady promises, fans flock and rage
You only needed a small carpeted stage
