Cyclical Nature
And so it goes around again
Capture a champion then again begin
The old course stands up for a new round
Bouncing and rolling and puttering the ground
Ways she plays the way you roll
Smash it back or simply let it troll
Previously so easy once to explain
A step back then forward for a little more gain
Cyclical nature is there to feel
A right to left wind in a rocky deal
Wills at their strongest just rear back and do it
In wild blue on tame green, a ball runs through it
Savvy opportunistic uphill push
Leaderboards fade from view in the bush
Windswept plays out to see the end of a run
Loving it as the distant fade hears a starter's gun
In this little window the earth is to heal
Seriously challenged past races of lost appeal
So long the perspectives of ups and downs won
In her cyclical nature, earth tries again to get it done
