Sugary Sands

aloha poets,
Sugary sands inspire today's poem. Enjoy!

That Mainstream Thing

Play your trumpet if you must, that may be your only trump card
Creative realizations steer your edgy ascent, still you bump hard
Start with traditional as your Neanderthal goes in deep thought
Add illusions of love, poets on roll, what seclusion's love taught

Go mainstream capture the momen,  whatever gets you right
Glow fame's scream, rupture and foment with clever insight
Flow in flame's beam, enrapture enough far into the night
Go mainstream, wrap your thoughts around your fright

Saved yourself from being friends from those too kind
Gave your elf the night off to go out, drink itself blind
Those rivers you please spend their days rushing by
These shivers in this breeze only to make them cry

It's you who you see running back into the fling
Barely fitting into that tight little traction thing
Dutiful you who gave yourself fire and steam
Pitiful fools, set fast early to go mainstream
